Sep 2020United Kingdom

Eco World International Berhad (EcoWorld International)’s Embassy Gardens development in London launched its final residential building, The Modern last weekend (19-20 September) in London, Hong Kong and Shanghai where 47 units worth RM228.2 million (GBP42.84 million) within the project were snapped up by buyers.

Following this successful launch, the next cities where The Modern will be unveiled will be Kuala Lumpur, Singapore and Beijing this weekend (26-27 September).

Commenting on the release of The Modern, EcoWorld International’s CEO of International Business UK, Cheong Heng Leong said: “The much-anticipated release of these new apartments and their compelling pricing provides a unique opportunity for global property investors to become a part of the Embassy Gardens family. The popularity of Embassy Gardens has been growing in line with Nine Elm’s remarkable transformation and this final launch is an important milestone for the riverside development as it grows into a leading lifestyle hotspot in central London.”

Completing the picture for the largest regeneration project and one of London’s most exciting riverside neighbourhoods – Nine Elms, The Modern will offer 160 apartments efficiently designed for 21st century contemporary living. Comprising mainly one- and two-bedroom apartments with starting prices from £695,000, this final residential block will also include two signature Penthouses.

Residents of The Modern will have access to Embassy Garden’s first-class amenities which are considered some of the best in London. These include access to the Sky Deck and Orangery rooftop bar, private cinema, indoor swimming pool, co-working areas and meeting rooms, two gyms, spa and steam rooms.

Further cementing its global reputation, a world-first in pool design, The Sky Pool is due to be installed by month-end. Developed by the world’s leading experts in engineering, the transparent 25m-long pool will allow residents to swim between two Legacy buildings 35m in the sky.

Embassy Gardens Phase 2, a joint-venture development between EcoWorld International and Ballymore Group, was first launched in 2015. It is expected to deliver 743 private residential units and 163 units of affordable homes across three residential blocks ranging from 9 to 23 storeys. The units will also be complemented by 27,968 sq ft of commercial area. The development sits on a total land area of approximately 5.7 acres and has a GDV of GBP933 million.

All homes at Embassy Gardens have been designed to maximise spacious living and uphold an ethos of craftsmanship at their core. Each apartment, designed by internationally influential duo Benningen Lloyd, offers residents a luxurious yet vibrant lifestyle; blending individuality with bold colours and a modern style for residents to call home. With breathtaking views of the Linear Park and the Thames, the apartments connect with the development’s green backbone and are uniquely suited to complement the spirit of its riverside location on the South Bank.

Embassy Gardens’ established reputation as a leading lifestyle and commercial hub for London where people work, live and socialise is ever growing. It is already home to a diverse selection of thriving lifestyle brands, including Robin Gill’s Darby’s restaurant, the Australian inspired District cafe, beauty and lifestyle concept brand Linnaean, leading publisher Penguin Random House, well known cocktail bar the Alchemist and boutique cycle studio Static.

Its prime location in London’s Travel Zone One makes the mixed-use development well connected, and the opening of the Nine Elms tube station, extending the Northern Line, will be a historic moment for both Nine Elms and London. The riverside walk will open up a scenic riverside route along the Thames, making it possible for residents to walk by the water with unbroken views of the North Bank, and a new riverboat pier is expected to open in 2021.
