Whistleblowing

Eco World International (“EWI”)’s commitment to upholding a high standard of ethical behaviour and integrity is demonstrated in EWI’s Whistleblowing Policy. EWI provides a platform for its employees and members of the public who have concerns about suspected Misconduct (including fraud, bribery, theft, abuse of power and violation of laws and regulations), i.e. the Whistleblowers to come forward and express these concerns without fear of punishment or unfair treatment. Through this policy, EWI intends to preserve its culture of openness, accountability and integrity.

All reports are encouraged to be in writing so as to ensure a clear understanding of the concerns raised and the Whistleblower Reporting Form (below) may be used for this purpose. All written reports should be channelled directly to the Whistleblowing Committee comprising:

  • (a) Dato’ Siow Kim Lun
  • (b) Mr Cheah Tek Kuang
  • (c) Dato’ Teow Leong Seng

Whistleblowers are required to reveal their identities in their reports to the Whistleblowing Committee to prevent false and malicious reporting. Anonymous disclosures will not be entertained.

EWI assures that all reports will be treated in the strictest of confidence and will be promptly investigated. Incidents of retaliation against any individual reporting a violation or assisting in investigations will result in appropriate disciplinary action. The Whistleblowing Committee will ensure that investigations are carried out using the appropriate channels, resources and expertise.
